Baton Rouge police report the driver of the second car they believe was involved in a pedestrian crash that claimed the life of a 4-year-old boy and left a 45-year-old man seriously injured last week came forward Wednesday and was interviewed by investigators.
Police said evidence showed the 70-year-old woman from Port Allen hit one or both of them but only after they had already been hit by another car.
They said the impact from the first car knocked the two into the woman's lane.

"It was a shock...the hero is gone," Violette Nassif, the mother of Johnny Nassif, the 15-year-old Lebanese soldier who went missing on October 13, 1990 and whose remains were recently identified, told NOW over the phone.
For years, Violette and her family have believed that their son was being detained in Syria.
